The Famous People of Italy
These famous people of Italy have all left their mark on modern and ancient society. Without them the world would be bare of many beautiful sights, and such passion for art and science wouldn't be as easily found. No country has made a greater contribution to the field of art than Italy. The renaissance caused them to flourish even more with the surroundings of the work of true masters.
Romulus and Remus
The twin sons of Mars who were aabandoned at the foot of the Palestine hill. The were suckled by a she-wolf who raised them back to health. When they were grown they gathered fellow men and invited the Sabine tribes to a party. During the party the men stole off with all the Sabine women from their fathers. When the fathers came to collect the women back the women begged not to be widowed and orphaned on the same day. Together they found Rome. When the two brothers were unable to lead together they built seperate cities. After a feud Romulus jumped the wall seperating their cities, and in the end he beat his brother over the head with a rock. Romulus lived on to find Rome.
